About Barrow Load

Barrow Load is a set of free landscaping calculators for Australian homeowners and DIYers. Each one turns your measurements into an order list you can take straight to the landscape supply yard.

It was built in Brisbane by a landscaper who got tired of seeing people order the wrong amount: three pavers short on a Sunday afternoon, or a truckload of soil with nowhere to put it.

Why another calculator site?

Most calculators online are generic. Ours use the sizes Australian suppliers actually sell, like 2400 mm concrete sleepers, 6 × 4 trailer loads and 20 kg bags, and they include the bits people forget: road base, edge restraints, drainage gravel and post-hole concrete.

Estimates, not engineering

The results are estimates to help you plan and order. Always check quantities with your supplier, and get professional advice for driveways, retaining walls over 1 m, pool fences and anything structural.
